1.In the lining design of modern aluminum cells, the 850 ° C isotherm is controlled within the refractory layer. On the one hand, the electrolyte is not crystallized in the carbon lining to cause carbon volume expansion, and on the other hand, the electrolyte does not penetrate into the heat insulating layer and react with the heat insulating material, thereby reducing the heat insulating property of the bottom of the groove. The impermeability and low thermal conductivity of the dry anti-seepage refractory material meet the needs of the electrolysis cell. At the same time, since the anti-seepage layer is made of bulk material, refractory material can absorb the expansion of a part of the carbon block and effectively slow down the bottom of the furnace. 2.Dry anti-seepage refractory materials have a positive effect on extending the service life of the cathode liner. On the one hand, refractory material can buffer the uplift of the cathode carbon block, on the other hand, refractory material can enhance the heat preservation capacity of the bottom of the tank, reduce the heat loss at the bottom of the tank, and increase the temperature of the cathode carbon block itself, reduce the temperature gradient between the upper and lower sides of the cathode carbon block. Since the dry impervious material can form a 5-15 mm thick, dense vitreous nepheline barrier layer with the infiltrated electrolyte, this barrier layer prevents the electrolyte from continuing to penetrate downward and protects the lower thermal insulation material. On the other hand, because the barrier layer has plasticity and the particle layer has a certain compressibility, refractory material dry anti-seepage can effectively alleviate the problems such as the bottom of the furnace and the deformation of the shell.
